(Star Special) — Whereas the testi- 
mony of Missionaries and of native 
Chinese Of pood standing- warns 
against the devastating - moral effe 
of the game of Man Jong, ther< 

Resolved that we urge women of the 
w.r.T.i'. and sister societies to re- 
frain from its use and to discourage 
the learning- of tlii.s alluring but dan- 
gerous game. Man Jong. 

This is one of the recommenda- 
tions in the report of the resolutions 
committee presented this morning at 
the invention of the Ontario 
w.r.T.r. 

Another resolution deplores the 
growing tendency to engage in games 
and pleasures on the Lord's Day 

The committee also recommend that 
alcohol he included In the Drug Art as 
a narcotic drug. It was also recom- 
m ended that Municipal Councils be 
urged to place more restrictions on 
dance hails, as to hours, etc., because 
the unregulated dance hall had too 
often proved to be. a. moral plague spot. 
and Hip late hours, introduction of 
Uquor and the general atmosphere of 



unrestraint have been the undoing or 
many. 

Mrs. Will Pugsley, of Toronto, 
her presidential address, attacked the 
Moderation league and others who a 
trying to def© the Ontario Temper- 
ance Act.
